20 inspiring Krol Corlett team members raised vital funds for Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice after completing the Tough Mudder challenge.
Organised by our wonderful colleagues Eleanor Ramsden and Jody Jacobson, Team KC were proud to strengthen our relationship with Zoe’s Place after joining their ‘150 Club’ earlier this year.
Zoe’s Place is the only baby hospice in Liverpool, with the centre offering palliative, respite and end-of-life care to babies and young children.
Due to the financial pressures of finding a new home, however, the hospice is at risk of closing.
Zoe’s Place originally hoped to build on a site near its current location before delays in planning and rising costs left the hospice faced with the prospect of closing at the end of 2024.
The news sparked an enormous response with the public, politicians, businesses and celebrities, whose donations have totalled £1.7 million. Krol Corlett were also determined to support Zoe’s Place by taking on the Tough Mudder challenge.
Aimee Clare, capital lead officer at Zoe’s Place, said donations on the crowdfunding website JustGiving had been “going up and up” every time she refreshed the page.
Aimee Clare, Capital Appeal Lead of Zoe’s Place also said:
“We’re so hopeful that we can either raise the money and have it in the bank or that we can have some pledges that are real secure pledges that can give us the confidence to move forward. We are so confident that we can do this.”
Simon Krol, Director of Krol Corlett, said:
“We’ve always been committed to building and supporting Liverpool, not just through construction, but by backing causes that truly matter. Zoe’s Place is one of those causes, and we hope our efforts, along with the community’s support, will make a real difference.”
