Krol Corlett returned to the water for the much-anticipated Dragon Boat Festival at Crosby Marine Lake – what a day it was!

Set against a backdrop of sunshine and community spirit, the event brought together teams from across the region to race in high-speed, high-fun dragon boat heats. The goal? To be crowned the fastest on the water, all while raising funds for Alder Hey Children’s Charity.

We were thrilled to team up with Alder Hey’s Digital team and Eurotool, and together, we achieved the fastest time of the day, a testament to great teamwork, coordination and a shared sense of purpose.

The event supports Alder Hey Children’s Charity in its mission to enhance patient care, support cutting-edge research, and provide state-of-the-art equipment to improve the lives of the 450,000 children the hospital sees every year. The impact of their work reaches far beyond Liverpool, benefiting families across the UK and beyond.

Taking part in this brilliant event just a short distance from our current live site at Alder Park in Crosby, where we’re delivering important works for Alder Hey, made the experience even more meaningful.

We’d like to extend a huge well done to everyone who took part, and a special thank you to the Alder Hey Digital team and Eurotool for joining forces with us. And of course, congratulations to all teams who took part and helped raise funds for such a fantastic cause.

Our commitment to Alder Hey goes beyond construction – We’re proud to play a role in their wider community initiatives too.
