Krol Corlett Construction were delighted to win the coveted Social Impact Award at the inaugural Lancashire Insider Property Awards 2024 this month.
Krol were also shortlisted for the Construction Business of the Year award at the glitzy ceremony, which took place at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.
After being shortlisted for our Fleetwood Hub project in the Social Impact Award category, the judging panel crowned Krol as winners for creating a ‘lasting positive impact on the wellbeing and economic vitality of the area.’ Krol beat Blackpool Council and Accrington Stanley Football Club to first place.
The Fleetwood Hub is an exciting project, led by The Fleetwood Trust, which purchased the vacant Fleetwood NHS Hospital. A first-class development from Krol Corlett is allowing the Trust to transform the building into a vibrant community space to help local residents.
The renovation will provide new facilities, including a Youth Hub, Community Kitchen, café, flexible-use studios, education rooms, co-working spaces, and Fleetwood’s first Changing Places facility.
After naming Krol Corlett Construction as winners, The Lancashire Insider Property Awards 2024 judging panel said:
“The passion in this project shone through the entry, which saw the re-use of a healthcare building. The initiative not only bolstered local employment at both skilled and apprentice levels during construction but also created a lasting positive impact on the wellbeing and economic vitality of the area.”
We were also thrilled to be nominated for Construction Business of the Year, an award highlighting the companies making a huge contribution to the property industry in Lancashire. This nomination speaks to our commitment to excellence, innovation and sustainability, as well as our ability to make a meaningful difference in the industry.
