Abbots Lea School, Woolton
Condition Works
The listed building is receiving minor refurbishment and electrical upgrades to improve the School Management areas. As part of the works, a new office space will be created. Two smaller rooms will be combined to form a larger area, which will be repurposed for storage.
Roofing and chimney works are also being carried out, enhancing the space further. These improvements include the area housing one of the building’s original fireplaces, a feature that dates back to the school’s original construction.
Gilmour Infants School, Garston
Playground Works
Groundworks have commenced, with the existing surface now excavated and preparation underway for a full resurface. The upgraded surface will provide a safer, more durable play area for the children, designed to support active play and daily outdoor learning.
In addition to the resurfacing, repairs are being carried out to perimeter fencing to improve safety and security around the playground area. These improvements will help create a more welcoming and robust environment ready for the start of the new school year.
Booker Avenue School, Mossley Hill
Fire Safety & Roof Repairs
Fire alarm replacement works are set to begin across the school, upgrading key components to ensure the system remains reliable and compliant with current fire safety standards. These improvements will help maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, pupils, and visitors.
Alongside this, roofing repairs and maintenance are underway to address general wear and tear. The works will help protect the building from the elements and extend the roof’s lifespan ahead of the new academic year.
Norman Pannell Primary School
Kitchen & General Refurbishments
General refurbishment within the main school hall, including the internal strip-out and renewal of the ceiling. The school kitchen is also being refurbished to improve its layout and facilities. These upgrades aim to enhance both the appearance and functionality of this key communal spaces.
In addition, the School Manager’s office and associated storage areas are being upgraded to provide a more organised, practical, and professional working environment.
