Miller Quay – Wirral Waters
Project Scope
Millers Quay consists of 500 luxury and highly sustainable waterfront apartments, projecting stunning views across to Liverpool.
Krol Corlett fitted out the entire breakout pavilion to create co-working space, this area also houses the luxury lounge offering a place for socialising and interacting with the community. In addition, we created the state-of-the art gymnasium, all of which are exclusive to residents.
As part of the 10-week project, Krol Corlett also installed a full ventilation system, kitchen, acoustic wall panelling and bathroom facilities.
Challenges of Build
Krol Corlett were part of a live site at Millers Quay, with other works progressing simultaneously.
Because of this, Krol continuously managed their access to ensure the entire build continued seamlessly, delivering their project well within time.
Due to the location of Millers Quay on the water-edge, Krol Corlett also planned meticulously to ensure the build was completed safely and without interruption.
This preparation helped Millers Quay deliver the largest regeneration project of its kind in the UK.
“Working with Krol Corlett on the Millers Quay project was a seamless collaboration. Their team delivered an excellent result, and we would gladly work with them again and highly recommend their services.”
Social Value
On a local level, Millers Quay consists of 500 highly sustainable apartments, including 100 affordable new homes, and has been commended for the social impact it will deliver in The Wirral.
Previously an unused dockland, Krol Corlett has helped provide a unique sustainable waterfront location with access to new green spaces, micro parks and community at its heart.
“It was great to be involved in enhancing the facilities for residents of this iconic waterfront development, improving their living experience and contributing to the long term success of the area with a wonderful scheme.”
