Project Scope
In May 2023, Krol Corlett had the privilege of partnering with one of the most esteemed educational institutions in the Northwest – St Helens College and University Centre St Helens.
With a rich history spanning back to 1896, these institutions have been dedicated to providing top-quality education for generations.We were appointed by Liverpool City Council to develop a state-of-the-art, industry-accurate environment for Mechanical Engineers to learn their trade. We divided the space into 24 bays containing different boiler types, flues, cookers, underfloor heating, gas fires, radiators and sinks. All ready for learners to get hands on.
Space Transformation
The scope of work encompassed high-level gas pipework, welding, and the installation of numerous equipment.
Our dedication and expertise resulted in the successful provision of 24 different boiler types, flue bays, cooker bays, underfloor heating, gas fires, radiators, and sinks.
These components were all installed to create a realistic industry environment and now stand as crucial tools, ready to facilitate the education of the next generation of Mechanical Engineers in the industry.
Impact
Following the successful completion and handover of the Langtree Gas Works project, Krol Corlett received outstanding stakeholder feedback, reflecting our professionalism and collaborative approach.
Building on this success, we secured a new substation contract to supply electricity to the town centre campus—further demonstrating our dedication to the community and excellence in construction.
Our partnership with St Helens College and University Centre St Helens highlights our strength in both the construction and education sectors, reinforcing Krol Corlett’s reputation as a trusted industry leader committed to building a better future.
