Delivering a New Central England Co-operative Store in Warrington
The project consists of a newly constructed Central England Co-operative store with car parking facilities on a clear piece of land located within a heavy populated residential area, overlooking a busy Warrington Road.
The works are limited to constructing a shell building, ready for fit-out by a Client-direct contractor, plus external parking, external works and landscaping works.
We have also overcome many challenges during these works including working within the confines of 2 tree protection zones.
“We pride ourselves on making sure all our shoppers get what they’re looking for from us. The new Rainhill community store will include an in-store bakery, food to go, customer toilet, external seating, and 16-space customer car park. Cycle storage provision and electric vehicle charging points will be installed to promote sustainable travel.”
Overcoming Challenges to Deliver Rainhill’s New Co-op Store
“We’re used to working within constrained sites, and this one has posed some interesting challenges. A ten-metre swimming pool was an unexpected find, but we knew about the traffic management challenges, and our plan for that has helped keep what is a busy high street moving properly.”
Building with Community at Heart
Social value is at the heart of every project we deliver at Krol Corlett, and this is no different.
The team has engaged with the local community and adjacent neighbours to keep them updated on the progression of the works.
We are also working closely with local residents after significant planning objections, to ensure that the community are involved with the project. With this comes regular communication with the local council and an appointed local resident.
We deliver complex, large-scale construction projects for leading organisations across the UK. Get in touch to discuss how Krol Corlett can support your next major development.
