“We are proud to be working with Tiber to create these additional facilities as part of their larger goals to invest in the area. It is an incredibly fulfilling project to be a part of, and we are enthusiastic to play our part in the area’s regeneration.”
Liverpool’s Toxteth neighbourhood is recognised as one of the most disadvantaged areas of the country, an affront to its potential, being home to some of the city’s most diverse communities and holding a strong reputation for its bright significance to the city’s cultural scene. Recognising its potential for development, Tiber’s encouraging plans seek to support the community and enable Toxteth to thrive as the influential component to the city that it is.
Not only will the project revamp these abandoned spaces, but the creation of these facilities in the area will bring a breadth of opportunity for locals to engage with, including tangible facilities, economic prospects for jobs and volunteering roles, and provision of training and upskilling opportunities, investing into a community with heaps of potential.
The funding for this development was awarded by the Youth Investment Fund (YIF), a government funding body aimed at creating, expanding, and improving youth facilities and services in some of the country’s most socially and economically-deprived regions.
