The works involve the remodel and refurbishment of the 2nd floor to improve facilities and support displacement works that will enable the relocation of staff. This is a crucial step in facilitating the next phase of work on the perinatal wards.

Scheduled Works

  • Installation of fire-rated ceilings
  • Fit-out of the accessible WC
  • Phase 1:Alterations to the 2nd floor configuration to relocate key areas, including the therapy kitchen, physiotherapy room, and an accessible WC. This will facilitate the subsequent phase of works for the perinatal wards.
  • Phase 2:Refurbishment of the corridor area to create additional offices, bookable rooms, a junior doctors mess, and meeting rooms, contributing to an enhanced work environment for staff.

This project will make a substantial difference to the hospital’s ability to provide better care for its patients by improving safety, functionality, and overall facilities.
