We are delighted to announce that Krol Corlett has been appointed as the main contractor for the exciting transformation of the former NHS Fleetwood Hospital into a state-of-the-art Community youth Hub.

The ageing conservation area, which was largely unused for over a decade, is set to undergo a sympathetic £1 million refurbishment, breathing new life into the building and providing essential youth services for the local community.

This innovative project, led by The Fleetwood Trust and funded by the Government’s Youth Investment Fund, aims to create a vibrant hub that will benefit not only young people but the entire community.

“We are thrilled to bring this amazing opportunity to Fleetwood and its young people. We hope its impact will be felt for generations to come.”

Charley Wilkinson,
CEO
Fleetwood Trust

The new Youth Hub is designed to seamlessly integrate into The Hub Fleetwood building, with a dedicated entrance for independent operation when required. As part of a mixed-use community hub, it will join forces with partners such as the NHS, Macmillan Cancer Support, Regenda Homes offices, Blackpool and The Fylde College and local businesses. This collaborative effort aims to offer a wide range of services and opportunities for the community.

There are future phases in the making too including;

  • Co-working spaces
  • Multi-purpose studios
  • Meeting rooms and offices
  • Garden

At the opening ‘spade in the ground ceremony,’ Chairman of the Fleetwood Trust, Lord Tom McNally [Pictured here] expressed his thanks to CEO Charley Wilkinson and all those involved in making this transformation a reality.

“Reuse and find new purpose schemes are a firm favourite of Krol Corlett, we are on a socially responsible mission to support grassroots regeneration.”
