The project consists of a newly constructed Central England Co-operative store with car parking facilities on a clear piece of land located within a heavy populated residential area, overlooking a busy Warrington Road.
The works are limited to constructing a shell building, ready for fit-out by a Client-direct contractor, plus external parking, external works and landscaping works.
We have also overcome many challenges during these works including working within the confines of 2 tree protection zones.
Work is progressing well on the new Co-op store in Rainhill, despite the uncovering of an unknown subterranean swimming pool on the site.
With this come the removal of substantial buried structures and also enhanced traffic management for access and egress form Warrington Road.
Despite the challenges, Team KC has completed the steel frame for the 4,000 sq ft site. Work is now moving on to the roof, walls and windows.
Social value is at the heart of every project we deliver at Krol Corlett, and this is no different.
The team has engaged with the local community and adjacent neighbours to keep them updated on the progression of the works.
We are also working closely with local residents after significant planning objections, to ensure that the community are involved with the project. With this comes regular communication with the local council and an appointed local resident.
