Exciting developments are taking shape at Bolton College, where construction of a dynamic and innovative new building is well underway. This cutting-edge facility will serve as the home for students specialising in micro-engineering and digital skills.
The project involves the design, construction, and commissioning of a state-of-the-art teaching block dedicated to Digital Skills and Engineering T-Levels. We anticipate the College will be warmly welcoming students through its doors by the end of this year.
The new 3 storey building will provide a more sustainable, energy-efficient resilient future. This is constructed using steel structural framing, concrete roof structure, flat roof coverings, brick and glazed facades.
The extension features a net-zero building design, meaning it produces as much energy as it uses, significantly reducing its carbon footprint.
It also uses advanced technologies like solar energy utilisation, triple-glazed windows, and Wraptight wall construction, with insulated with up to 250mm of extra material all enhancing energy efficiency.
Our dream team for this endeavour includes esteemed partners AA Projects, 10 Architecture, Ridge & Partners and Waterman.
Together, we’re committed to realising the vision of a transformative learning environment at Bolton College.
