Donors Visit the New Hospice!
Two years ago, fundraisers secured the future of Liverpool Zoe’s Place, now known as Little Lights.
To mark the milestone, supporters and patron Ian Byrne MP were invited to see the new hospice we are building for the charity.
Our office staff and apprentices joined the day, and our site team led tours of the building. Visitors saw the state-of-the-art facilities that will support babies and young children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and their families.
“To see construction of the new hospice so far along is absolutely incredible. Two years ago, our community came together because it could not imagine Liverpool without this vital service. Today, we can see what that determination and generosity have made possible.”
Building a Home for Little Lights
The £6m facility on Hayman’s Green, West Derby, Liverpool, will see a 6,700 square foot extension added to an existing two-storey townhouse. This will be refurbished into an administration block.
The purpose-built hospice is set to open in April 2027.
Designed around the babies, young children and families in its care, it will include a hydrotherapy pool, sensory room and eight bedrooms. There will also be overnight accommodation for parents, a Snowdrop Suite and landscaped gardens with outdoor play.
“As a local resident I know how proud people are of the work and support provided by Little Lights, and it has been a pleasure to be able to play our part in its progress. We have brought all our expertise in building healthcare facilities to bear, and staff, parents and supporters can look forward to an outstanding facility when it opens.”
Beyond the Building Site
Our connection with Little Lights reaches far beyond the building site. Team KC has been proud to support the charity over the past two years.
Helping to build a place that will care for local families long into the future is something we care deeply about.
If you would like to support Little Lights, there are lots of ways to get involved.
