Our pride in partnering with the charity on the multi-million-pound revamp of Alder Hey’s Ronald McDonald House, alongside AEW Architects and MAC Construction Consultants, knows no bounds.

Situated next to the world-famous Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, this project holds immense significance as it is the largest Ronald McDonald House in Europe, boasting 83 bedrooms, including 15 longer-stay apartments.

We are delighted to continue our support for Ronald McDonald House Charities as we recently attended their annual Gala Dinner, themed “A Night of a Thousand Stars” at one of the world’s finest private member venues, The Hurlingham Club, London.

Thank you to our wonderful guests AEW Architects, Hannan Associates MEP Design Solutions, and Ronald McDonald House Charities for joining us.

The evening was filled with inspiring stories and an incredible amount of money was raised for the remarkable RMHC.

The speakers, families and videos shared on the night, further highlighted the importance of the Ronald McDonald Houses.

The Krol Corlett revamp includes:

  • A complete refit of all bedrooms and ensuite bathroom replacement
  • Adding family kitchens to each floor
  • The creation of interconnecting rooms for larger / blended families
Improving the Day Room facilities to allow for more families to

use of the House and offer complementary services such as hairdressing, yoga and family support

  • A re-landscaped garden with new, dedicated space for families to relax and children to play

Richard Farish, Director of UK Estates and Facilities for RMHC UK said:

“We’re really excited about this project, which will see a full refurbishment of the existing House, including the exterior façade, interior redesign, and new building services. It includes environmentally sustainable solutions for energy and water use and will add attributes that synergise with the Alder Hey’s healthcare ambitions of whole-family wellbeing, healthy lifestyle, and day patient support.”

Our Alder Hey refurbishment will take place in two phases, keeping the House partly operational throughout, allowing a free ‘home away from home’ to families until the refurbishment work is due to be completed in later in 2025.
